Eurobox volumetric calculator

Enter how many boxes of each size you have and it returns the figures a forwarder is going to ask for anyway: total volume, how many Euro pallets that becomes at a stack height you choose, and how much of a 20 ft container it fills — by volume and by pallet floor positions, which are rarely the same constraint.

It exists because we kept doing the arithmetic by hand after breaking down pallets, getting it slightly wrong, and paying for the difference in volumetric weight.

The boxes the numbers describe

40 × 30 × 15 cm Half footprint · 18 L · 8 per pallet layer EU4315
60 × 40 × 23 cm Full footprint · 55 L · 4 per pallet layer EU6423
60 × 40 × 34 cm Full footprint · 82 L · 4 per pallet layer EU6434

Drag to turn one over. These are the three sizes we actually stock, modelled to their external dimensions — the volumes above are external too, which is what the calculator works in. Each box is framed to fill its own card, so read the figures rather than the pictures for relative size. The code on the side is our own label convention: EU then the long side, the short side and the height, all in whole centimetres.

What it returnsVolume in m³ and litres, Euro pallet loads with per-layer layout diagrams, and 20 ft container utilisation by volume and by floor position.
Box sizes600 × 400 (heights 12–42 cm, including 17.5, 23 and 31 cm), 400 × 300, 300 × 200, 800 × 600 — plus custom dimensions.
PalletsEUR-1 (1200 × 800 × 144 mm) or EUR-6 half pallet, at a selectable maximum stack height.

What it assumes

  • External box dimensions, stacked in aligned grid layers with no overhang.
  • Single-SKU pallets — box types are not mixed on one pallet.
  • 11 EUR-1 pallets per 20 ft container floor; 33.2 m³ internal volume.

Counts are conservative planning estimates, not a packing optimisation. A good loader will beat them. Quote from a forwarder's own measurement, not from this, when money turns on the number.

Herman, as a 3D model

The company mascot is a real knitted donkey, scanned and cleaned up as a glTF binary. He is on this site because he is ours, and he is downloadable because a small, clean, oddly specific .glb is a genuinely useful thing to have when you are testing a 3D viewer.
