Pre-advice, lane references and exception notes are timestamped in UTC — two operating bases, two daylight-saving calendars, one clock that never argues.

Operations

Poppleberry Logistics is a privately held operation handling inbound consignments for our own account and for partner businesses. Founded in Storrs, Connecticut, the company's operational base is in Jerusalem.

We receive LCL import consignments post-deconsolidation, courier parcels, loose-loaded cartons, and unitised loads on pallets and in euroboxes — covering the last-mile receiving leg from carrier handover to our door. Receiving is run against pre-advice, with consignment-level reconciliation and POD on handover.

For last-metre geolocation we support and use what3words: unloading positions and receiving points are referenced by three-word address alongside conventional addressing.

Dropoff Locations

Each receiving point has its own page, with coordinates, approach notes, the conditions binding on the delivering vehicle, and a downloadable record in vCard, GPX, KML, CSV and JSON — so a carrier can add us to their own system without retyping anything.

Herman Poppleberry

The company is named for Herman Poppleberry, a knitted donkey of firm opinions. He does not lift anything, but he has never once been wrong about which lane to be in.

Drag to turn him around

The donkey knows best. It is the sort of thing you only say out loud once you have watched a pallet go to the wrong kerbside twice in one week.

Herman is a real object — scanned, cleaned up and published as a 3D model. He also co-hosts a podcast, which is a longer story than this page has room for.

He also turns up in the corner of every page on this site, waves, and offers an opinion about the page you are on. He can be sent away, and the tab in the corner brings him back. The model is a free download.
